After a relaxing breakfast, we set off on a scenic ride through the northern part of Istria. Before long, we reach the charming hilltop towns of Grožnjan and Motovun, two of the region's most beautiful and iconic destinations.

Known as the "Town of Artists," Grožnjan captivates visitors with its narrow cobbled streets, historic stone houses, and unique Mediterranean atmosphere. Our route then takes us to Motovun, majestically perched on a hill overlooking the Mirna Valley. From its ancient city walls, we enjoy breathtaking views across vineyards, olive groves, and Istria's famous truffle forests.

After soaking up the local culture and history, it's time to enjoy what motorcyclists love most: fantastic roads and endless curves. Following quiet backroads through the rolling foothills of the Učka Mountains, we experience some of the finest riding routes in Istria, surrounded by stunning landscapes and the authentic charm of the region.

After approximately 220 kilometers of enjoyable riding and unforgettable scenery, we return to our accommodation in the late afternoon. Another highlight awaits us there, as we are treated to a delicious traditional three-course Istrian dinner. Today, we explore the fascinating west coast of Istria, combining breathtaking coastal scenery, historic towns, and some of the region's most impressive landmarks.

After breakfast, we set off towards the spectacular Lim Fjord (Limski Kanal), one of Istria's most remarkable natural attractions. This fjord-like bay offers stunning panoramic views and is one of the most photographed locations in the region.

Our next stop is the charming coastal town of Rovinj, often regarded as the most beautiful town in Istria. Here, we take a relaxing coffee break at the picturesque harbor, enjoying the Mediterranean atmosphere, colorful waterfront buildings, and the unique charm of the old town.

From Rovinj, we continue south along the coast towards Pula, the largest city in Istria and one with over 3,000 years of history. A visit to the world-famous Pula Arena is a must. This remarkably preserved Roman amphitheater is one of the best-preserved ancient arenas in the world and one of Croatia's most iconic landmarks.

After exploring Pula, we leave the coastline behind and head back through the beautiful Istrian countryside. Before reaching our destination, two more highlights await us: a visit to an impressive fortress and a historic ruin, both offering fascinating insights into Istria's rich and eventful past.

After approximately 260 kilometers of enjoyable riding, cultural discoveries, and spectacular scenery, we return to our accommodation. There, another highlight awaits us: a delicious dinner that provides the perfect ending to another unforgettable day in Istria.

On the fourth day, we leave the heart of Istria behind and travel through the picturesque inland towards the Kvarner Bay. Along the way, numerous scenic viewpoints invite us to stop for photos and capture unforgettable memories.

In Brestova, we board the ferry to the island of Cres. The first part of our route follows well-maintained roads, offering spectacular views of the sparkling Adriatic Sea. After a few kilometers, the road becomes narrower but loses none of its charm. Along the way, it is not uncommon to encounter free-grazing sheep, a characteristic feature of the island landscape.

Before reaching the town of Cres, we make a short detour to a charming little village known for its unique atmosphere and authentic island character. Afterwards, we continue to Cres Town, where we park our motorcycles directly at the harbor. A leisurely stroll through the historic old town allows us to soak up the Mediterranean flair and enjoy the lively waterfront promenade.

Our journey then continues south across the island. In Osor, we cross the famous swing bridge that connects the islands of Cres and Lošinj. Our next stop is Mali Lošinj, where we enjoy a relaxing coffee break right by the harbor while taking in the maritime atmosphere.

After approximately 180 kilometers of varied and scenic riding, we arrive at our destination for the day, Veli Lošinj. And here is an interesting local curiosity: in Croatian, Mali means “small” and Veli means “large.” In reality, however, it is exactly the opposite, as Mali Lošinj is considerably larger than the charming and peaceful town of Veli Lošinj.

After a restful night in Veli Lošinj, we start the day heading north. Unlike the previous day, however, we do not return directly to the mainland. Instead, we take the ferry from Merag to the island of Krk.

After only a few kilometers, we reach the historic town of Krk, where we stop directly beside the impressive old city walls. Here, we have time to stroll through the charming streets of the old town and enjoy its Mediterranean atmosphere.

From Krk Town, we continue along small and winding roads towards Vrbnik, one of the island’s most famous villages. Here, those who wish can test themselves by attempting to walk through one of the narrowest streets in the world.

Our route then takes us through the peaceful interior of the island. Of course, we avoid the rather unspectacular main road and instead follow hidden backroads known mostly to the locals. These roads not only provide outstanding riding pleasure but also reveal stunning views of the island’s landscapes and the Adriatic Sea.

Before leaving Krk, we make a special photo stop at a unique viewpoint overlooking the famous Krk Bridge. This spectacular location offers the perfect opportunity to capture unforgettable memories. Shortly afterwards, we cross the bridge ourselves, enjoying impressive views across the Kvarner Bay.

Once back on the mainland, the road gradually climbs into higher elevations. The landscape changes dramatically as the curves become more frequent and the first foothills of the mighty Velebit Mountains appear. This section offers pure riding enjoyment combined with breathtaking scenery.

After approximately 320 kilometers of varied and enjoyable riding, we arrive at the world-famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, which is also our destination for the day. Here, we end a memorable journey filled with island charm, endless curves, and some of Croatia’s most spectacular landscapes. 🏍️🌉⛰️🌲☀️

After several exciting days on the road, today is a well-deserved break from riding. This day is dedicated entirely to nature and offers the perfect opportunity to recharge for the stages ahead.

Together, we visit the world-famous Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Europe. Crystal-clear turquoise lakes, countless waterfalls, picturesque wooden walkways, and breathtaking scenery make this UNESCO World Heritage Site a true highlight of any trip to Croatia. During a relaxed walk through the park, we can fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of this remarkable natural wonder.

For those seeking a bit more adventure, there is also the option to visit one of Croatia’s most fascinating lost places. The former underground aircraft shelters of the Željava Air Base, located near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, offer a unique glimpse into the history of former Yugoslavia and provide an unforgettable experience for history enthusiasts and explorers alike.

After leaving Plitvice Lakes National Park, today's stage takes us down to the Adriatic coast on a collection of beautiful winding roads. We take a short break by the sea, enjoying our first views of the sparkling blue waters of the Adriatic and the stunning coastal scenery.

However, we do not stay at sea level for long. Soon, the route climbs back into the impressive Velebit Mountains, where an entirely different riding experience awaits. Following scenic roads through the rugged hinterland, we pass small, sleepy villages and travel through landscapes that remain largely untouched by mass tourism.

This stage offers everything a motorcyclist could wish for: flowing curves, light traffic, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Here, we experience Croatia in its most authentic and unspoiled form.

Towards the end of the day, we reach the legendary Adriatic Highway (Magistrala). Riding one of its most beautiful northern sections, we are rewarded with spectacular views over the islands of the Kvarner Bay and countless sweeping curves that make this road famous among motorcyclists from around the world.

After approximately 320 kilometers of twisty roads and unforgettable scenery, another incredible day comes to an end, filled with riding pleasure, magnificent landscapes, and lasting memories.

On the final riding day of our tour, we once again climb into the foothills of the impressive Velebit Mountains. As we gradually make our way north, we naturally enjoy a few more beautiful curves and spectacular views, giving us a fitting farewell to one of Croatia’s finest motorcycle regions.

Although Rijeka is undoubtedly an interesting and attractive city, riding through its dense traffic is not exactly a highlight of any motorcycle tour. For that reason, we bypass the greater Rijeka area on scenic and winding roads that offer far more riding pleasure and a much more enjoyable experience.

Before long, we reach the famous Učka Mountain Range, a favorite destination for motorcyclists from all over Europe. Here, we are treated to yet another collection of flowing curves, varied roads, and stunning panoramic views across the Kvarner Bay and the rolling landscapes of the Istrian hinterland.

As we get closer to our destination, the scenery gradually changes. The rugged mountains give way to the gentle hills of inland Istria before we finally return to the coastal region.

If time permits, we make a short stop in Poreč, where the charming old town, lively waterfront promenade, and Mediterranean atmosphere provide the perfect finale to an unforgettable motorcycle adventure.

After approximately 280 kilometers of winding roads and breathtaking scenery, we arrive at our accommodation. There, we celebrate our final evening together with a traditional Istrian three-course farewell dinner in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While enjoying regional specialties and a good glass of wine, we have plenty of time to reflect on the highlights, favorite roads, and unforgettable moments of the past week.

After breakfast, we begin our journey along the beautiful Istrian coastline. Shortly after departure, we ride across a remarkable stretch of road where it feels as if we are travelling right through the sea, providing the perfect start to another memorable day on two wheels.

In the charming coastal town of Novigrad, we take a short coffee break and enjoy the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere before continuing inland. As the route progresses, the landscape gradually becomes more mountainous, and the first sweeping curves of the day begin to appear.

Shortly before Brezovica, we cross the border into Slovenia and continue along scenic, winding roads through the peaceful countryside. The route takes us through picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy both the ride and the scenery.

After approximately 210 kilometres, we arrive in Postojna. Today's stage is intentionally shorter, allowing plenty of time to visit one of Slovenia's most famous attractions, the spectacular Postojna Cave. Its vast underground chambers, impressive stalactite formations, and fascinating atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience and a perfect addition to the day's ride.

After breakfast, we start the day with a relaxed warm-up before things become seriously twisty. Today is all about enjoying some of Slovenia’s finest motorcycle roads as we make our way from Postojna towards the famous town of Bled.

Of course, we do not take the shortest route. Instead, we follow small, winding backroads through beautiful countryside, where every mile offers riding pleasure and stunning scenery. Rolling hills, charming villages, and endless curves make this a true motorcycling paradise.

Upon reaching Lake Bled, we take a full loop around the lake, enjoying spectacular views of the crystal-clear water, the famous island church, and the impressive Bled Castle overlooking the landscape. In this breathtaking setting, we stop for an extended break to soak up the atmosphere and capture some unforgettable photos.

Although our destination, Radovljica, is only about 15 kilometres away from Bled, the day is far from over. Instead of taking the direct route, we head out on another scenic loop featuring even more winding roads and beautiful countryside before finally reaching our hotel.

After approximately 275 kilometres of curves, scenery, and riding enjoyment, we arrive in the charming medieval town of Radovljica, where we can relax and reflect on another unforgettable day on the road.

After breakfast, we set off for another memorable day on the road, beginning with a final ride through the beautiful town of Bled. As we leave, we enjoy one last view of the famous lake and the impressive castle perched high above the water.

Our route then gradually leads us towards the Austrian border. The roads become increasingly varied, and with every bend, the anticipation of the day's highlight continues to grow.

Before long, we reach the legendary Vršič Pass, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia and undoubtedly one of the highlights of this tour. Countless hairpin bends, spectacular views of the peaks of the Julian Alps, and breathtaking alpine scenery make this crossing an unforgettable experience for every motorcyclist.

Even after descending the pass, the riding enjoyment is far from over. The route continues along stunning roads through an impressive alpine landscape. Flowing curves, picturesque valleys, and magnificent panoramic views make this one of the most rewarding riding days of the entire journey.

After approximately 280 exciting and twisty kilometres, we finally arrive in Straža, our destination for the day. Impressed by the spectacular scenery and perhaps a little tired from the endless curves, we relax and reflect on another exceptional day in the saddle.

From there, the route continues through the heart of the Istrian hinterland. Rolling hills, charming villages, and countless curves ensure that even the final kilometres remain a true pleasure to ride.

Wie immer beginnt unsere Tour nach einem gemütlichen Frühstück in der Konoba Kaštel. Nach den ersten Kilometern durch das wunderschöne istrische Hinterland rollen wir uns entspannt ein und stimmen uns auf die kommenden Fahrtage ein.

Schon bald verlassen wir Kroatien für einen kurzen Abstecher durch Slowenien. Auf kleinen, kurvenreichen Straßen genießen wir abwechslungsreiche Landschaften und herrliche Ausblicke, bevor wir wieder Richtung Kvarner Bucht fahren.

Rijeka selbst ist zwar eine sehenswerte und lebendige Hafenstadt, doch dichter Verkehr und viele Ampeln sind nicht unbedingt das, was sich Motorradfahrer wünschen. Deshalb umfahren wir die Stadt auf deutlich reizvolleren Strecken. Kleine Dörfer, wenig befahrene Nebenstraßen und zahlreiche Kurven sorgen hier für deutlich mehr Fahrspaß.

Auf dem Weg in Richtung Velebit eröffnen sich immer wieder beeindruckende Ausblicke auf die Kvarner Bucht und die vorgelagerten Inseln. Die Landschaft wird zunehmend bergiger, und die Straßen beginnen sich immer häufiger durch die Hügel und Berge zu schlängeln.

Da der Abschnitt der Magistrale bis Crikvenica fahrerisch eher unspektakulär ist, wählen wir eine deutlich reizvollere Route durch die ersten Ausläufer des Velebit-Gebirges. Hier erwarten uns genau die Straßen, die Motorradfahrer lieben: flüssige Kurven, wenig Verkehr und grandiose Landschaften.

Nach rund 250 abwechslungsreichen Kilometern erreichen wir schließlich unser Tagesziel und lassen den ersten gemeinsamen Tourtag entspannt ausklingen.

To ease into the day, we begin with a few kilometres along the famous Adriatic Coastal Road, the legendary Magistrala. Right from the start, breathtaking views of the deep blue Adriatic Sea and the islands scattered along the coastline set the tone for an unforgettable riding day.

Soon we leave the coast behind and head into the spectacular landscapes of the Velebit Mountains. Riding on quiet roads through untouched scenery and traditional villages, we experience a day packed with riding pleasure. One curve follows the next, while magnificent views of the coastline and the Kvarner Bay appear again and again around every corner.

The diverse routes through the Velebit hinterland are considered some of the finest motorcycle roads in Croatia. Smooth asphalt, flowing bends, and the dramatic contrast between mountains and sea create an exceptional riding experience that few destinations can match.

Before returning to our accommodation after approximately 250 kilometres, we enjoy one of the most beautiful stretches of the Magistrala once again. With spectacular Adriatic views and perfectly flowing curves, this section provides a fitting finale to a truly outstanding day in the saddle.

Today is all about the spectacular Velebit Mountains once again. After breakfast, we set off on a stage that promises one thing above all: curves, curves, and even more curves.

One of the day's highlights is the legendary Željava Air Base, one of Europe's most fascinating lost places and a favourite destination among motorcyclists. The vast underground military complex and the visible remains of the former air force base create a unique atmosphere and provide an impressive backdrop for memorable photographs.

But it's not only the destination that makes this day special. The entire route leads along stunning roads through the wild and unspoiled landscapes of the Velebit region. Today, the edges of your tyres will certainly get a workout, as the roads offer seemingly endless combinations of bends, changing elevations, and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

After countless riding highlights, we gradually leave the mountains behind and return to the coast. To round off the day, we enjoy the final kilometres along the legendary Adriatic Coastal Road (Magistrala). With magnificent views of the Adriatic Sea and its islands, this famous coastal route provides the perfect ending to an exceptional day on two wheels.

As the tour name already suggests, today's stage is dedicated to two of Croatia's greatest motorcycling highlights: the legendary Adriatic Coastal Road (Magistrala) and the unique landscapes of the Velebit region.

Right after departure, we head south along the stunning Adriatic coastline. Ahead of us lie some of the most spectacular sections of the entire Magistrala. Perfectly flowing curves, breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea, and countless offshore islands make this one of the most memorable riding experiences of the tour.

In Prizna, we leave the mainland for a short time and take the ferry to the island of Pag. The island is famous for its two completely different faces. While some areas appear barren and almost moon-like, others surprise visitors with green landscapes, traditional stone villages, and a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere.

In the historic town of Pag, we take a relaxing break and enjoy the unique character of the island. As we continue south, we are treated to impressive views of the famous Pag salt fields, which have shaped the island's landscape and culture for centuries.

Before leaving the island, we stop at one of its most spectacular viewpoints. From here, we enjoy a fantastic panorama of the famous Pag Bridge, elegantly connecting the island with the mainland and providing the perfect setting for memorable photographs.

After crossing the bridge, we return to the mainland. From Rovanjska, we once again follow the Magistrala northwards. This section is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe, offering countless sweeping bends and magnificent views of the sea, the islands, and the imposing Velebit Mountains.

As the roads are fast-flowing and enjoyable to ride, today's stage is also the longest of the entire tour, covering approximately 350 kilometres. Thanks to the constantly changing scenery and spectacular roads, the kilometres seem to pass by effortlessly.

After enjoying the legendary Magistrala the day before, today's route takes us once again into Croatia's impressive mountain landscapes and into a region that remains largely undiscovered, even by many experienced motorcyclists.

Shortly after departure, we leave the well-known tourist routes behind and venture deep into the Croatian countryside. Large sections of today's ride follow the Dobra and Kupa Rivers, which wind their way through untouched natural landscapes. Dense forests, charming villages, and rolling hills define the character of this peaceful and authentic region.

Very few motorcyclists find their way here, allowing us to enjoy hours of riding on roads with little to no traffic. The flowing curves invite a relaxed riding style and provide a completely different experience from the coastal roads of previous days.

With a bit of luck, we may hardly encounter another vehicle along the way. Perhaps only the occasional tractor will briefly influence our pace, reminding us that we are travelling through the heart of rural Croatia. Yet this is exactly what gives this stage its unique charm.

After approximately 270 varied kilometres, we return to our accommodation in the late afternoon. There, we can relax, reflect on the day's experiences, and enjoy another enjoyable evening together.

Today, our journey leads us back to Istria. Yet even though the tour is slowly drawing to a close, there is certainly no shortage of spectacular roads and breathtaking scenery.

Just as on our outbound journey, we bypass the city of Rijeka and instead choose the far more scenic route along the beautiful Kvarner Bay. Time and again, stunning views open up across the sea, the surrounding islands, and the rugged mountain backdrop. Naturally, we will make several stops along the way to capture these unforgettable panoramas in photographs.

After the coastal section, we once again head into the mountains of the Učka Nature Park. As is typical for CroMotoTours, we leave the main roads behind and follow small, remote backroads that not only provide superb riding pleasure but also offer an authentic glimpse into the region's character. Twisting roads, minimal traffic, and magnificent viewpoints ensure that even the final riding day delivers plenty of memorable highlights.

After approximately 280 varied and enjoyable kilometres, we arrive back at our accommodation in Istria.
